We believe the bible (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) are the inspired Word of God, written for man that he may know God, His ways, and His will for salvation through Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 119:105, Revelation 22:18-19)
We believe in one God eternally operating in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These offices are equal in power, harmoniously working together executing distinct functions within the Holy Trinity. (Matthew 28:18-20, John 6:27-29, Acts 5:3-4)
We believe in God the Father, a perfect spirit, the supreme ruler of the whole universe and all things within. (Deut. 10:14) That He loves man unconditionally and will forgive and accept anyone who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Eph. 4:6, John 3: 16)
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God, equal in power to God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was both God and man, lived a sinless life, and was offered as a living sacrifice for the sins of man. We believe that Jesus defeated death, rising from His own with all power and authority, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father making priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and is mankind’s only avenue to God the Father, Heaven, and everlasting life. (Hebrews 1:8, 1 Cr 15:12-23, 2 Cor 5:17-21, Romans 10:9-10, John 14:6)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is perfect, and equal to God the Father and God the Son. He is the active agency of the Godhead, functioning on the earth, dwelling in every saved soul, converting, illuminating, empowering, and guiding believers in the ways of Jesus Christ. ( John 14:25 Matthew 28:19, John 3:5)
We believe that God created man in His own image free from sin. We believe that man, through Adam, fell in sin and is spiritually dead. We also believe that through Jesus Christ, man is afforded the opportunity to repent of sin and be reborn. We believe that Salvation is a gift from God, not gained by works or deeds but by accepting Jesus as our savior. We further believe that initial salvation must be followed by progressive sanctification, that we are not only saved spiritually but must continue to allow our minds to be shaped and renewed into the mind of Christ. Salvation will be concluded with new bodies. (Romans 12:2, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16, Romans 3:22-3:24, Romans 10:13)
We believe the Church is the unified body of Christ, composed of those born again through Jesus and who have received an impartation of the Holy Spirit. This body expresses itself in and through local assemblies, associating themselves for the purpose of worship, instruction, fellowship, and service. Furthermore, we believe that the church is the only institution in the world, equipped and anointed to represent the Kingdom of God on the Earth and propel the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church is the extension of Christ, His bride, whom He dearly loves and gave His life for, more than merely independent organizations but rather interdependent parts of a whole, with Jesus Christ as the head. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
We believe that faithful attendance in Church is not enough, but that each believer must strive to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit as well as a collective interaction with their fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord. We further believe that those who name Jesus as their personal savior should participate in corporate worship. As faith comes by hearing the word of God, we therefore believe that reading the Bible is enhanced when coupled with hearing the word proclaimed through God’s anointed and appointed mouthpiece, the preacher. (Romans 10:14-15, Proverbs 27:17)
We believe that the believer will be raised with eternal celestial bodies, thus completing the salvation process. That they - as well as all mankind - will spend eternity in either Heaven or Hell, either with rewards, or in punishment according to their acceptance or lack thereof, of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We believe that the gift of speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift. It means speaking with words or in a language one doesn’t know in order to edify both oneself and others and commune with God. Jesus foretold of speaking in tongues: “And these signs will follow those who believe…they will speak with new tongues.” (Mark 16:17). However, we also understand that there are different gifts and not everyone will speak in tongues. According to 1 Corinthians 12:28-30 (NKJV)- (28) “And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. (29) Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? (30) Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?” If there are those with the gift of interpreting tongues, they will ensure interpretation occurs within the order and protocol of the church.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an empowering for service that takes place in the life of
the Christian (Acts 1:5-8). In it, we are immersed in the Spirit’s life and power. We need a power beyond ourselves for service and ministry in Christ’s Kingdom. When Jesus gave the Great Commission (according to Matthew 28:19-20), He knew that his disciples could not fulfill it in their own power. Therefore, He had a special gift in store for them: It was His plan to give them the same power that He had - the power of the Spirit of God. So immediately after giving them the Great Commission, Jesus commanded his disciples not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father promised.
Water baptism is a command for believers. Jesus established water baptism as an
ordinance when He gave the Great Commission (see Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16). Water baptism is a public, outward testimony that indicates a personal, inward faith. It gives evidence of the inner change that has already occurred in the believer’s life when he or she was “born again” through faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism identifies the believer with the message of the gospel, the Person of Jesus Christ, and other believers. It associates the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and signifies the believer’s death to the old life and his or her resurrection as a new creation in Christ (see Romans 6:1-8; Colossians 2:12).
We believe in the Kingdom of Heaven as a present and active reality, a divine government established by God to transform lives and communities on Earth. As Kingdom Ambassadors, we are called to seek first His Kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33) and to partner with God in His purpose to bring Heaven to Earth (Matthew 10:7). Through Jesus Christ, we are empowered to proclaim and demonstrate His love, justice, and power in all we do.
